She believes the success lays in understanding the key drivers of the people behind their professional roles and helping leaders to unleash their true potential.
She utilizes her extensive background in leadership and management consulting (Deloitte, PwC) as well as from leadership & management team positions in the financial services sector when helping local and global clients develop their emotional intelligence and workplace emotional climate. She is also a highly regarded keynote speaker in organizations from various industries.
Ira Leppänen is the co-partner at Emergy®. Emergy was founded in 2015 and is the forerunner in the field of training workplace emotional skills and emotionally intelligent leadership. The quality and impact of Emergy trainings is ensured via active academic co-operation and scientific research. The latest research program: Tunto 2 – Emotional Agency in Strategy Implementation, 2021 – 2023, Aalto University and University of Jyväskylä. Ira is the lead consultant in the program.
Besides the business career, organizational and executive trainer and active involvement in the academic studies, she also serves as a certified business coach for both experienced leaders and to those who has just entered the work life after academic studies. She believes that training and coaching both groups and individuals have a crucial synergy in understanding the real dynamics of the current work life. Ira is also a valued mentor in the Aalto Women Career Network Mentoring program.
In addition to her M.Sc. (Econ.) degree in Finance at Helsinki School of Economics, she has also carried out MBA studies at EGADE, Monterrey, Mexico and Stamford Business College, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Besides Mexico and Malaysia, she has also lived in the US, Arizona and Budapest, Hungary and has over 15 years of extensive experience in leading multi-cultural teams and successful client projects.
