Jack Burke
Chef, writer, presenter and Leon cookbook author Send enquiry ›Jack Burke is a London-based writer, presenter, actor and chef.
While studying for a Classics degree at UCL, he spent the summers working in restaurants and houses all over Italy and France. This first ignited his love and passion for food.
After graduating with a first class degree, Jack worked as a researcher on the TV show QI as one of their famous ‘elves’. He then went to work for Academy Award-winning documentary company, Passion Pictures, where he worked in the development team. Throughout this time, Jack ran small, invite-only supper clubs out of his London flat.
Jack then worked with Leon CEO, John Vincent, on his book Winning Not Fighting. This was the beginning of a partnership with Leon, leading to the publication of Jack’s first cookbook, Happy Fast Food, in 2020. He is currently working on another, yet-to-be-titled cookbook for the company.
He also devised and presented a series of films for Leon called London Jack, in which he travels around the UK to find out about and work with their suppliers. This was Jack’s first foray into on-screen presenting and he quickly realised he had found his dream role: to indulge and share his passion for food and culture with others on-screen.
In addition to this, Jack Burke is an accomplished actor. He has voiced many national advertising campaigns and appeared in numerous radio dramas. His first feature film, Lair, will released later this year.
