Siân Lloyd is probably best known for presenting the Weather (TRIC “Best Weather Presenter” twice and nominated another four times), but her professional work also spans lots of other types of TV presentation, documentary narration, commercials on both TV and Radio, the corporate sector, TV promos, radio marketing campaigns, hosting National and International Awards, after dinner speaking and voiceover work. 2015 saw Siân on ITV1’s Who’s Doing the Dishes? and BBC1’s Pressure Pad as well as presenting coverage for the 2015 elections and appearing on S4C’s Coming Home and their quiz series A Minute to Go and Celebrity Pointless. More recently Siân has been on This Morning as well as specials for S4C Celebrity First Dates.
Previously, Siân has hosted everything, from a gardening series through to a food series called See You Sunday. She has co-presented three specials on Wales for ITV in the run up to the last Election and co-presented the BBC network Millennium coverage from Cardiff. Siân was one of the three main presenters on HOW 2 on ITV and has been a Quiz mistress on the successful Risg on S4C and the Queen of Cakes, in her series The Great Cake Bake on SKY.
Siân fronted the Return to Boscastle special on UKTV, and has done documentaries on Weather and Climate Change for broadcasters ranging from CNN, Channel 4, ITV and the BBC through to Radio 4. In addition, she hosted her own Sunday lunchtime show on Radio Wales and voiced a series on weddings for ITV.
One of the best things she says she has ever done was to appear alongside Gavin and Stacey stars Joanna Page and the late Margaret John in the Vagina Monologues at The Cardiff Millennium Theatre. A baptism of fire, but she loved it! Siân also had a ball on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here and enjoyed filming the Big Wedding in Paris. But most of all she loved taking part in a Bafta award winning cookery show on S4C at Christmas – a whole week of visiting food producers and cooking in the Portmeirion Hotel under the instruction of Odette’s Bryn Williams. Siân also had enormous fun on BBC1’s Celebrity Masterchef.
As a journalist, Siân Lloyd writes for a number of publications, including The Daily Telegraph, The Times, News of the World, The Western Mail, The Daily Post as a weekly columnist, and writes semi-regularly for the travel column in the Mail on Sunday.
