Heidi is a passionate speaker and panelist who utilizes her experiences from DEI leadership as a basis in her talks. She has given over 50 keynotes in Finland and internationally. She has a practical approach that incorporates concrete examples based on personal experience on how to build DEI as a systemic and sustainable part of business and organisation’s key operations. DEI Consultant and Keynote speaker, ex-DEI leader Send enquiry ›Heidi Pech is a DEI consultant, speaker and advisor with a visible passion for her work. She gained her experience while she led the work on diversity, equity and inclusion as Head of DEI at Futurice, a technology consultancy with award-winning culture (Great Place to Work Europe 2012, 2013).
Heidi’s role was one of the first of its kind in Finland, and she acted as a pioneer in carving out the approach and relevance for in-house DEI work for a tech company based in a society that generally ranks high in gender equality and low in income inequality. Heidi created a DEI strategy and supporting actions for Futurice. Progress in those brought several awards for Futurice (Blaze Inclusion Awards 2022, SheIndex 2022) and positioned the company as one of the most progressive in this area in Finland. She designed and implemented concrete actions and projects on the DEI roadmap, and gained holistic understanding on how to lead cultural transformation to create a more inclusive organisation.
Heidi has found her true calling and a sense of purpose from working with DEI. She shares her learnings now as an independent consultant, advisor and speaker, helping organisations to become more diverse and inclusive and thus working towards a more equitable society as a whole.
Heidi has worked as a DEI consultant in client projects across fields such as public sector, media and technology. She has also been a jury member in digital media competition Grand One 2023 in the category “Best work for equity” and a member of Judging Committee Finland for Nordic Women in Tech Awards 2023. Her 20-year career in various HR roles across different sectors in Finland and abroad gives her a solid business understanding on which she builds her DEI approach and knowhow. Heidi has a degree in Broadcast Journalism from University of Leeds.
